My name is Jack Clarkson, I am 23 years old and a professional golfer from Lancashire, England. I am attached to Lancaster golf club where I have been a member and represented the club since the age of 14. I took up the game seriously at the age of 9 and started my golf at Knott End Golf Club. I have played for the county throughout my junior years and broke into the men’s team shortly after. I made the decision to go to university in America to improve my golfing stature and to test myself against some of the best players from around the world. I managed to have a successful college career over there including five collegiate tournament wins. I also won many accolades which included AMC Player of the Year, a Jack Nicklaus award semi-finalist and also achieving All-American status in three out of my four years. When coming home for summers I played a highly competitive amateur schedule which included some good results in tournaments such as the county championship (2^nd), the Berkshire Trophy (2^nd) and also reaching the quarter finals of the English Amateur.

In October 2018 I decided that I wanted to take my game to the next level and decided that I was going to turn professional. I knew that this would be challenging and I was fully committed to the decision. As everyone around me knows, my work rate is second to none and I strive to leave no stone unturned. This resolve has already credited me with some solid results to start my professional career. These included coming 2^nd in the First Stage of Alps Qualifying School and finishing inside the top 35 in final qualifying to gain my full card for the 2019 Alps Tour season.
